Dear Students,
I want to let you know how proud I am of you. It has been a great year full of wonderful memories. I hope you will not forget what you have learned and I hope you will carry on the following lessons throughout your life:
1) God made you special and he gave you talents. Use God's gifts to serve the Lord and change the world for the better.
2) Put others first. As Jesus said, the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Share, be patient, and wait your turn. Treat others with respect.
3) Think before you speak. Is it true, helpful, inspiring, necessary, and kind?
4) Take care of your body. Eat healthy, and get plenty of rest and exercise.
5) Smile and give everyone you come across a compliment. This would make others feel good about themselves, including you.
6) Be grateful and thankful for what you have. Remember how blessed you are to have your family and friends, a home, and food to eat.
7) Talk to God as much as you can. Let him know how you are feeling because he is your best friend. Keep your life balanced with God always in the center. There can never be too much God in our lives!
8) Appreicate your parents. Help them with the chores in the house. It will show them that you appreciate them. Give them a hug and a kiss everyday, and tell them how much you love them.
9) Always say "please" and "thank you." Have common courtesy when you ask for and receive something from others.
10) Practice reading everyday. The more you read, the more you succeed. Also practice your other skills such as writing and math. Prepare yourself to take on the world!
11) Always practice safety! Don't make decisions that you know will get yourselves hurt.
12) Do not take time for granted. Time is short, make the most out of the time you have.
13) Stand up for what is right. Think of what would Jesus do.
14) It is okay to make mistake. Mistakes are lessons to be learned.
15) Work hard to earn your rewards. Hard work pays off!
16) Trust in God's care. Do not worry, for God will always provide.
17) The only person you should compare yourself to is yourself; and no one else. Think about ways you can improve yourself.
18) Make goals and plan ahead. It is never too early to start planning for a college scholarship and your career.
19) Know that you are always loved and that you are important. God put you in this world for a reason!
20) Enjoy life and know that every day is a gift.
Please remember these things that we have discussed during the year. Have a wonderful summer and come back to visit me soon!
Love,
Ms. Lodevico
